Foggy Bottom Campus and Online
This Halloween, a mischievous skeleton has arrived at Foggy Bottom—meet Skelly Skellington, OSS’s official Spooky Ambassador! Skelly’s been causing some playful chaos around the Foggy Bottom campus by hiding tiny skeletons in secret spots. Can you help us find them? On October 31, keep your eyes peeled and follow the riddles to discover where Skelly’s friends are hiding. Find a skeleton and return it to OSS to win a Halloween goody bag! Riddles will be released on the OSS website at midnight on Hallow’s Eve. All skeletons must be returned by Monday, November 4th.
Remote students*, Skelly hasn’t forgotten about you! They’ll be pulling pranks on the OSS website too, with tricks going live at midnight. If you spot anything out of place or with a spooky twist, email smhstudents@gwu.edu to help us set things right—and earn a Halloween goody bag for your detective skills! All tricks must be found by Monday, November 4th.
*Remote students include: VSTC students, students on clinical rotations, and other students in fully remote or hybrid programs who will not be on the Foggy Bottom campus on Halloween.
In a place where futures bloom,
White coats dream in this busy room.
On a shelf where knowledge grows,
I’m hiding where the greenery shows!
Medicine’s journey is soon to uncoil,
Find me tucked deep in the dirt and the soil!
In a PT room where movement’s the key,
You’ll find my friends standing tall as can be.
Among bones that teach and limbs that bend,
I’m hiding close by—can you spot this friend?
In the land of muscles and skeletal height,
Find me tucked just out of sight!
Through Himmelfarb’s doors, I’m hiding with care,
Among cookbooks and games—can you find me there?
I’m not in the pages or under your shoe,
But where health and fun come together for you.
Wellness and wisdom are all around,
Look closely and see where I can be found!
In a place where cold keeps food from decay,
You'll find me waiting, out of the way.
Not with the drinks, nor snacks to please,
But behind frozen doors, where frost can freeze.
In the Ross Hall lounge where students chat and unwind,
Search the cold depths, and me you’ll find.
